George Smith

IRONMAN Certified Coach

USAT Level I Certified Coach

George has been a multisport ambassador and student for more than 12 years and has informally been coaching friends and family members since 2014.  He completed his first IRONMAN 140.6 in Couer d'Alene in 2012, multiple 70.3 distance races, countless short-course triathlons and numerous bike/run races.  George brings a wealth of experience to our athletes in the area of individualized field testing, analysis, assessment, training plan "flexidization" (see our FAQs), race fueling planning and race execution. 

 

George holds multiple Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certifications as a Doctor of Pharmacy.

 Jeff started the multisport lifestyle in 2001 with no endurance sport background.  Jeff is an extremely accomplished triathlete completing 14 - IRONMAN 140.6 races, 20 - 70.3 distance races and over 200 short-course events!  He has raced the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona, 3 - IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships with a 9th place AG finish at World's at Chattanooga in 2017.  Jeff continues to be highly competitive in his long-course and short-course events. Jeff's experience and attention-to-detail assists our athletes in training, race pacing and race fueling to give them confidence and prepare them for raceday.  Jeff takes great satisfaction in seeing our athletes execute long-course racing and running down the finishing chute with a smile.

 

Jeff is a physician specializing in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and Professor with the USC School of Medicine.
